I am still preparing the second special report, a follow-up to “Reviewing Cebu History” entitled “The Quest for Paleolithic Camotes.” This also came out in The Freeman newspaper in 1993. This is a product of my coverage of a team of anthropologists from the University of the Philippines that conducted an archaelogical survey on the artifacts found in the Camotes group of islands.
The anthropologists who were in Camotes were Prof. Jerome Bailen, UP museum curator Israel “Sweet” Cabanilla, Lerma de Lima Yambot and Mumtaz Mahal Veloso. I was accompanied in the trip with The Freeman photographer at that time, Rudolf Alcazaren, who incidentally made a mess of his photos.
Watch out for that special report in this blog anytime soon
